What applications are required to run ErgoWize?

To access the ErgoWize training and risk assessment, users require Microsoft Internet - Explorer 5.5+ browser (or Firefox 1.5) with Flash enabled.

Can this be run/maintained from our own intranet?

Where required, EssentialSkillz is still able to offer the option of installing and maintaining ErgoWize in house. Although we host the vast majority of our systems, this may not be appropriate for organisations operating within industries that may have specialist security requirements, defence or finance for example. Please note that we charge an installation fee for an intranet set up, as a technical support representative will be present at client site to assist your own IT department with this process. They must then assume responsibility for installing any future upgrades.

Installation – Hosted v Local installation

The system can also be hosted on our own dedicated servers, bringing a range of key benefits:

No internal IT resources required (apart from providing an internet browser to each user)
Improved support response times
Instant content updates to reflect changes in legislation and/or best practice
Instant access to new courses and system enhancements
Data always remains your property and we endeavour to take every reasonable precaution to protect and secure your data against malicious use and attack.  Please see our Privacy Policy.

Employees do not need open access to the internet to utilise our hosted solution. Via the Intranet, your IT team can allow users to access our internet server on an exceptions basis, by placing our domain name on their list of approved sites.

What client IT involvement if any is required at implementation and on an ongoing basis?

Because we host the solution for you there is little or no reliance on internal IT resources. The IT department just need to ensure that Flash is enabled and that users can access our web server.
