At EssentialSkillz we recognise the limitations of generic training content, yet are sensitive to the cost implications associated with creating bespoke courseware and risk assessments.
Training
The ErgoWize training course has been designed to educate the user with good ergonomic practise as laid out in the DSE regulations. These basic principles apply to any organisation and are universal in their application. However the software contains customisable screens that allow customers to insert company specific information around the core materials, such as contact details or links to policy documents for example. Organisations are able to create more personal, relevant courseware quickly and without charge using our in built Content Development Tool (CDT). Changes can be made on an on going basis without the need to incur unnecessary delays or costs when updates are required.
Risk Assessment
The standard ErgoWize DSE risk assessment is based on the HSE guidelines, but just like the training course, can be adapted by the customer to reflect the different issues, environments and methodologies of each individual office environment.
Risk assessment questions can be added, amended or removed at any time, even post roll out. Should questions prove unsuitable or date over time, they can be adapted or removed quickly and easily without invalidating the data that has already been captured from the original question set.
The risk assessment is dynamic, in the sense that users can skip irrelevant sections that do not apply to them. This allows the insertion of sections such as mobile devices into the main DSE risk assessment without creating an overlong questionnaire for "standard" users.
Pop ups can be imbedded within the risk assessment itself. These serve a dual purpose. Firstly they allow a user to view the potential consequence of their response and verify if their answer is genuine and secondly to provide potential resolutions to DSE related concerns where appropriate. This concept of self verification of risk has the potential to dramatically cut the number of unresolved issues left over at the end of the assessment process, making ErgoWize the most efficient system at responsibly filtering risk and hence reducing the overall time required to administrate. DSE Assessors and system administrators are only left with small percentage of higher risk, more complex DSE related concerns to follow up and resolve.
Tracking and Reporting
The ErgoWize Tracking and Reporting Tool can be branded with your organisation's logo and by utilising the custom user groups functionality, operated and administrated in such a way to reflect how your DSE Assessors really work. This functionality extends way beyond the limits of the traditional location and department administration scenario. The system contains six levels of adminstration, thus allowing DSE users to be grouped and assigned in a variety of different ways. Manage users by salary bands, assets, countries, locations, departments or whatever information you choose to supply. Combine administrative tiers to allow management of multiple departments that share one floor of a building for example.
